Beck came to me as she was in the beginning of perimenopause. The mood swings, anxiety, and sensations were ruining her life.
We started out with a focus on nutrition and exercise. Focusing on foods to help balance her hormones out and lower inflammation.
We slowly worked on mindfulness and adding breathing exercises to help control the mood swings and getting overwhelmed, anxious, stressed, and reactive.

I found the dysfunctional breathing patterns through the assessment, including low tolerance to CO2.
started with a 2 day per week workout schedule (virtually and on her own) and worked her way up to 3 days plus walking every day.
Mindfulness and body scan check-ins twice per day & resetting breath to prevent stress buildup throughout the day.
Breathing exercises to increase CO2 tolerance to lower anxiety levels.
Changing her breathing technique from short, shallow, into her chest to slow breaths in and out of her nose, deep into her diaphragm.
When you start to reset the nervous system, all else can heal.

Beck has made huge strides. She was somewhat of an all or nothing perfectionist. She now knows how to listen to her body and understands it’s okay to take a week off of working out if needed and then get back into it.
When she’s on a work trip or vacation she still likes to get a workout in when there’s a gym and most importantly, when she wants to on vacation.
She’s been able to handle stressful situations better by controlling her breath, stepping away, and resetting herself vs reacting in the moment.
